Waikiki Wally's poster by Richie Fahey

Just relating back to the vintage posters I mentioned on an earlier post, I will be ordering Waikiki Wally's
poster by Richie Fahey. Can't wait to receive it and proudly display it in my home.

Waikiki Wally's

by Richie Fahey
 Poster information:

Shady dames and fellahs prowl through Richie Fahey’s alluring noir art. Fahey’s hand-colored photos, which convincingly resemble pulp-fiction illustrations, are enhanced by vintage lighting techniques and expert model direction. A New York-based photographer, Fahey is influenced by detective magazine photos, 1940s and ’50s cinematographers, and his own 1930s – 1960s paperbacks. Fahey’s shifty characters lurk in numerous galleries and magazines, and on the covers of a series of James Bond novels.

A short update of what's coming up

Hi All,

Why is there only 24 hours in a day? I wish time did not fly so fast each day so there would be more time to get more done. I suppose a lot of you can probably relate to this. Well I hope so, then I'll know I'm not alone. Although it's a busy time, I must say I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm having lots of fun along the way.

I can't wait to share with you what I've been up to. One of my very dear friend's Jo has an amazing home, her creativity and style is just envious.

Here is a sneak peak of Jo's home:

I have been busy gathering some great spots, cafe's, shops and found some more lovely garments during the week. I can't wait to have that extra time to post it all for all of you to see. So bit by bit you'll see more things appear as I get my time management more under control.

I will be photographing some of the items that will be up for sale on the weekend. Take a look back on this page early next week and you'll get to see some of the gorgeous items.

Hope everyone's week is going along nicely.

Take care and peace to all

Welcome to Vintage Central

First of all let me introduce myself...
My name is Mariska van der Veer and my blog Vintage-Central is all about vintage and pre-loved fashion, home decor and fun and interesting finds and facts. You will find stories, ideas and inspiration on how Vintage pieces look great on their own or mixed with today's styles and trends. This will help you create and find your own unique style.
I will visit people’s homes, share their stories on how they make vintage work for them.  The blog features a “street style” photo gallery that can give you many ideas and see how other's put their outfits together.
Photos of special treasures I’ve found just for you will be listed and are for sale. The items will be posted regularly on the blog and then be available for purchase through my Ebay Store "VintageCentralShop".
If it sounds like you may have something to share on any of the before-mentioned, whether it’s your wardrobe, home, knowledge, your own blog or have a shop and would like to feature on my blog, please email me and I’ll get back to you and see what fun we can have putting something special together to share with the community of vintage-central. The aim is to grow a community of  like-minded people where we can enjoy and come together.  Of course If you have any questions, comments or just want to say “Hi”, please don’t be shy as I would  love to hear from you.
I hope you will enjoy Vintage-Central as it's made for you with love and passion.   Mariska <3
